TICID facilitates capacity-building workshops and consultative meetings covering a variety of topics, including digital skills development, national digital transformation strategies, data governance, and cybersecurity. These platforms enable representatives from national authorities and technical experts to share best practices and devise strategies for harmonizing digital policies and frameworks.
Digital skills offer transformative opportunities for Africa, particularly among its young digital talent. ECA works to strengthen the capacity of Member States to promote Computer Science (CS) and Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM) education. This aims to enable governments and institutions to harness emerging technologies not only as tools for technological advancement but also as catalysts for accelerating progress towards the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and Agenda 2063.
