Transition to Electric Mobility in Africa: Model National Road Map

The present report sets out a model national electric vehicle road map designed to guide African countries in formulating comprehensive implementation frameworks for electric mo bility. It provides a structured reference model that connects high-level policy objectives to measurable actions and outcomes, aligned with continental and global sustainability priorities. The road map supports national Governments in translating strategic intent into coordinated, evi dence-based interventions, ensuring consistency with the African continental strategic directions for electric vehicle development, formulated by the Economic Commission for Africa (ECA) in 2026.
