Validation session of Nigeria’s national strategy and implementation plan for the AFCFTA

What:             The National Action Committee (NAC) on AfCFTA in collaboration with the Economic Commission for Africa’s African Trade Policy Centre (ATPC) is organizing a Validation Workshop of Nigeria’s Strategy on the Implementation of AfCFTA on 7 December 2022 in Lagos, Nigeria at Bon Hotel Ikeja Residence.

The main purpose of this strategy, the development of which is based on a process that is both participatory and inclusive, which has enabled the collection of both quantitative and qualitative data, is to define an application plan for the measures contained in the Agreement establishing the AfCFTA and which aim at the liberalisation of the national market that must then fit harmoniously into an integration framework on a continental scale.

 Who:             The validation workshop will be organized by the National Action Committee on AfCFTA in collaboration with the Economic Commission for Africa, will see the participation of member structures of the AfCFTA Negotiating Committee, the public structures directly concerned, professional and umbrella organisations, the press, technical and financial partners, individual stakeholders in the sector, the private sector and experts from the ECA.
