The Economic Commission for Africa will hold a webinar on the“The socio-economic impact of COVID-19 on households and firms in Africa” on 28 February, from 9 to 10:30 am Kigali time.

This roundtable will be an opportunity for ECA experts to examine and analyse the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and sanitary restrictions on households, SMEs and micro enterprises in North and West Africa. Participants will study findings and recommendations from two upcoming ECA reports on the impact of COVID-19 in the ECOWAS zone and on North African enterprises.

The webinar on the socio-economic impact of COVID-19 on households and firms in Africa will take place ahead of the 8th session of the African Regional Forum for Sustainable Development (ARFSD) scheduled on 3-5 March 2022 under the theme “Building forward better: a green, inclusive and resilient Africa poised to achieve the 2030 Agenda and Agenda 2063”.
