Leveraging climate research partnerships for resilient development planning and implementation of the SDGs in Africa”is a side event organized ahead of ARFSD 2022 by ECA's African Climate Policy Centre and the Climate Policy Laboratory at the Fletcher School (Tufts University). This event will take place online on Monday 28 February from 4 to pm 5:30 EAT, 3 to 4:30 pm GMT.

This meeting aims to highlight the importance of partnerships and collaboration (SDG 17) to foster knowledge transfer, shed light on the trade-offs needed for more inclusive, green and sustainable development, and mobilise funding for climate research and education (SDG 4) for the implementation of the SDGs and Agenda 2063.

This webinar is a side event held ahead of the 8th session of the African Regional Forum on Sustainable Development (Kigali, 3-5 March 2022), and will take place with the participation of senior researchers and representatives from ECA, Tufts University, African Academy of Sciences (AAS), FCDO, GIZ, USAID, UNU-INRA, UNESCO, the Office of the President's Special Envoy for Climate, and African research institutions.
