Nouakchott, September 12, 2024 (ECA) – The UN Economic Commission for Africa’s North Africa Office is organizing, in partnership with the Mauritanian Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development, a capacity-building workshop for the benefit of women led small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
The workshop will take place in Nouakchott on 17-19 September 2024 and will focus on best practices in export, digitalization and sustainable ecological strategies. Women entrepreneurs and representatives from the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development will take part in the training.
ECA is holding this event within the framework of its program for the support of women-led SMEs in Africa. In Mauritania, this initiative seeks to enhance the competitiveness and resilience of Mauritanian SMEs, enable them to better leverage the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) and adapt to the challenges posed by climate change.
