Khartoum, 23 July 2021 (ECA) - The ECA Office for North Africa will hold, on 25-29 July 2021 in Khartoum, a Capacity Building workshop on the Implementation of the African Continental Free Trade Agreement (AfCFTA) in partnership with the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Republic of the Sudan and the Islamic Development Bank International Islamic Trade Finance Corporation (ITFC).
This workshop seeks to support Sudanese officials efforts to increase their capacity to design and implement national policies related to trade and the AfCFTA so as to allow the country to make the most of the agreement, increase national trade with the rest of the region, and facilitate structural transformation.
The second of a series of three workshop jointly held by ECA, ITFC, and the Sudanese Ministry of Industry and Trade, this meeting will take place with the participation of public institution, private sector and civil society representatives, as well as members of the Sudanese research community.
