Addressing Africa’s skills gap

5 December, 2022

Rabat, 5 December 2022 (ECA) - The ECA Office for North Africa and Oxford Economics Africa will hold on 7 December 2022 at 1 pm Rabat time (GMT+1), a webinar to discuss their upcoming joint report on “Human Capital and Productive Employment Creation: Addressing Africa's Skills Gap”.

The COVID-19 pandemic has triggered deep structural shifts in the global economy, and therefore changes in the set of skills economic actors are looking for in their workforce. In Africa, this has led, in some cases, to the appearance or an increase of mismatches between supply and demand for skills. The report aims to examine where such discrepancies exist and how governments can help address this issue.
