Project Overview
The Tech African Women (TAW) is a program dedicated to building a strong female-led tech Startup pipeline and community in Africa, powered by UNECA and implemented by Betacube.
Target countries:
Ethiopia, Senegal, Tanzania, Tunisia
Objectives:

Empower female founders to leverage their skills to build strong tech startups from scratch

Accelerate the transformation of project ideas and prototypes into validated business models, ready for market & investment

Build communities and alliances to aggregate opportunities for women entrepreneurs and maximize their impact
Key results:

Intensive 3-day training boot camps & pitching competition held across four target countries.

Two months online incubation program for the best 8 startups.

Final pitching ceremony held in Ethiopia where winning projects received seed grants.
