ECLAC
The Library of the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) is located at the United Nations building in Santiago, Chile. The Library was established in 1948 to provide specialized information services on the economic and social development of Latin America and the Caribbean, in accordance with the programme of work of the Commission.
ESCAP
The Library began its life in 1947 with the establishment of the Economic Commission for Asia and the Far East (ECAFE), which was originally based in Shanghai, China. ECAFE had the aim of assisting with the rehabilitation of war-damaged countries in the region.

The UN-ESCWA library was established in 1974 under Economic and Social Council Resolution 1818. It provides a specialized collection in the fields of economics and social development.

The Sergio Vieira de Mello United Nations Library at Nairobi is a joint initiative of the United Nations agencies based in Nairobi, led by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP).
FAO
The library was established in Rome at the 1952 FAO Conference, according to the decisions of the 1950 Conference. It was named David Lubin Memorial Library by the Conference to honour the founder of the International Institute of Agriculture (IIA). The extensive IIA collection formed a solid base for the present-day Library, which is considered one of the world's finest collections in food, agriculture and international development.

The WHO Library is the world’s leading library on public health. It provides access to knowledge from WHO as well as to other sources of scientific literature produced around the world. WHO Library resources and expertise also provide scientific evidence and knowledge to low- and middle- income countries through a set of low-cost/high-use initiatives.

The network of 63 United Nations Information Centres are key to the Organization’s ability to reach the peoples of the world and to share the United Nations story with them in their own languages.
