African Immigrant Women, entrepreneurs in the World

Africa has the highest proportion of female entrepreneurs in the world, with women accounting for 24% of its entrepreneurs, and many successful businesswomen among the African diaspora.

This webinar will take place with the participation of ECA’s executive Secretary and UN Under Secretary-General and H.E. Nezha El Ouafi, Moroccan Minister Delegate to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates, in charge of Moroccan Expatriates.

Participants will discuss the situation of female, African migrant head of enterprises, the challenges they are facing, and how countries of origin and destination can help facilitate their contribution to Africa’s post COVID-19 economic recovery and development.

This hybrid meeting will take place both physically in Rabat, Morocco, and online, with the participation of representatives of institutions in charge of expatriates, women business leader organisations as well as private sector, financial, business institutions and UN organisations.
