Following the signing of a project agreement between ECA and the Embassy of Sweden on “Delivering Climate Resilient Development Policies in Africa”, the ACPC conducted an inception phase workshop in November 2019 that was attended by the Centre’s strategic partners in Africa, who include AUC, AfDB, PACJA, WMO, GGGI, UNU-INRA, CCAFS and UNDRR. The participants were subsequently co-opted into a multi-stakeholder advisory group (MSAG) to contribute to and guide the project implementation.

On the basis of their comparative advantage, influence and capacity, the members of the MSAG are in the process of establishing partnerships with ACPC for collaboration on different outputs outlined in the Sweden Project’s results based budget (RBB), including potentially contributing financially to the realization of the deliverables. Thereafter, the partners will be part and parcel of the team implementing the chosen activities, including participation in developing TORs, concept notes, draft documents and validation processes.

The 3rd meeting discussed the work plan for the period January-July 2021, as well as implementation and collaboration arrangements.
