Socio-economic Assessment of the Blue Potential in Seychelles - Discussion of Draft Document and Toolkit
Seychelles
Using the UNECA Blue Economy Toolkit in 2020, we estimated that the Blue Economy ecosystem in Seychelles contributes over 30% of GDP, provides 45% of formal jobs and is an important contributor to national incomes, social upliftment, and environmental protections.
On 21 April 2021, 13:00 to 15:00 (Seychelles local time, GMT+4) we will be hosting a virtual national consultation to share more about the toolkit, and to discuss the updated results of the Seychelles case study.
