Convened annually by the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (ECA), in partnership with key stakeholders including the African Union Commission, the Africa Business Forum (ABF) is held on the sidelines of the African Union Summit as a premier platform for high-level engagement among African Heads of State and Government, private sector leaders, development finance institutions, and international partners.
Over eight editions, ABF has become a trusted space to tackle urgent development priorities and seize emerging opportunities, distinguished by a consistent focus on turning commitments into implementation.
In 2026, ABF will be repositioned as the continent’s leading platform for mobilising partnerships and investment, including blended finance, to advance Africa’s youth economy. Under the 2026 theme, the Forum will drive investment, partnerships, and policy action to create jobs at scale, strengthen innovation ecosystems, and unlock creative value, spotlighting digital industries, MSMEs, and Africa’s fast-growing creative sectors.
