This Meeting builds on the consultative virtual workshop to support the ALPC and NELGA’s fundraising mandate held on 23rd April 2024. As the GIZ’s funding for NELGA’s activities concludes, it is imperative to mobilize partners and funding resources to advance land governance issues across Africa. The Workshop held in April discussed options for leveraging NELGA's Strategic Framework, Business Plan, M&E Framework, Resource Mobilization strategy, and the Sustainability Strategies of its regional Nodes, to drive the Network's resource mobilization efforts forward. A draft fundraising document, designed to attract support from additional partners, was presented as a compelling "pitching tool," consolidating NELGA's endeavors and articulating its value proposition to potential funders.
The meeting planned for the 24th of Sept. 2024 aims at convening the NELGA Node Coordinators, ALPC and SLGA to further engage and refine the plans for sustaining NELGA Activities beyond the project phase. Led by the ECA and IAV Communications teams, the meeting will also provide a platform to document the main project achievements so far.
Specific Objectives:
- Share plans for NELGA Sustainability at the regional and continental level
- Take stock of the major achievements of the program in each of the regions
Expected results
- The NELGA regional plans to sustain the program shared and inputs provided
- Inputs to the NELGA documentary collected
