Registration Opens for Online Training on AfCFTA for North African Media

22 January, 2024

Casablanca, 22 January 2024 (ECA) - The United Nations Economic Commission for Africa is holding, in partnership with the Danish International Development Agency (DANIDA), a training workshop on the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) from 25 to 27 January 2024.

This training will take place in a hybrid format with the aim of deepening North African media's understanding of the role of the AfCFTA in stimulating economic growth in African countries amidst multiple crises, as well as its key development stages. The workshop will also provide participants with opportunities to share their experiences and best practices in reporting on the AfCFTA and, more broadly, regional integration in Africa.

Journalists from Algeria, Djibouti, Egypt, Libya, Morocco, Mauritania, and Tunisia will take part in this event.

Note to Editors:

Journalists wishing to attend this training are kindly invited to register through the link below no later than 24 January 2024 at 6 PM GMT+1. We also recommended that they send a confirmation email to filali-ansary@un.org and hawine.amdissa@un.org.
