Objective

The Sub-Regional Office for West Africa of the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (SRO-WA/ECA), in collaboration with the Government of Burkina Faso, is organizing a National Policy Dialogue with Members of the Transitional Legislative Assembly on Budgeting Sensitive to Demographic Dividend in Burkina Faso from August 26 to 27, 2024, in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso.

The overall objective of this dialogue is to strengthen the capacity of the Members of Parliament in the process of capturing the demographic dividend in Burkina Faso through the Budgeting Sensitive to Demographic Dividend (BSDD) approach. It also aims to prepare the honorable Members of Parliament for better participation in the review of the finance bill, taking into account the demographic dividend dimensions and the institutionalization of BSDD in the budgetary process in Burkina Faso.
