The fifty-ninth session of the Commission, including the annual meeting of the Conference of African Ministers of Finance, Planning and Economic Development, will be held from 17 to 23 March 2027 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, on the theme, "Shaping the future of work in Africa: youth employment".

The session will be preceded by the Committee of Experts and side events. The ministerial segment will include a high-level policy dialogue on the theme of the session, the annual Adebayo Adedeji Lecture, and round-table discussions on a series of sub-themes.
