The 11th Edition of the Assessment of Regional Integration in Africa (ARIA XI) Report will be held at Krystal Palace Hotel in Douala, Cameroon, on 20-21 and 22 June on the theme “Delivering on the African Economic Community: Towards a Continental Customs Union and Common Market.” The report will assess Africa's progress in its integration journey, particularly since the launch of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), and its readiness to establish a continental customs union and a continental common market. The Expert Group Meeting, organized by the Economic Commission for Africa (ECA) jointly with the African Union and the African Development Bank will review the draft chapters of the report, gather insights from experts, and make the findings more practical and implementable. The meeting will involve participants from various organizations, including the RECs, the African Union Commission, the AfCFTA Secretariat, the African Development Bank, Afreximbank, and UNCTAD.
