The 11th Africa Regional Forum on Sustainable Development (ARFSD-11) Secretariat has streamlined the Exhibition and Knowledge Fair activities to enhance the conference participants experience.
Exhibitions and Knowledge Fair sponsored by Member States, UN system and other Inter-Governmental Organizations as well as accredited Major Groups and other stakeholders, are welcome to exhibit at ARFSD-11 scheduled for Kampala on the 9–11 April 2025.
Any member state or UN-entity interested in participating in the Exhibition or Knowledge Fair must submit a proposal using the online exhibition request form and provide a detailed description of the proposed exhibition, including an explanation of how its thematic focus relates to the Forum’s theme on “Driving job creation and economic growth through sustainable, inclusive, science-and evidence-based solutions for the 2030 Agenda and Agenda 2063”, and the cluster of five goals that are the focus of ARFSD-11, namely;

Goal 3: Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages.

- To secure a space, please submit a completed exhibition/knowledge fair application form to the ARSFD-11 Secretariat through <online exhibition request form> by the 28th February 2025. Preference is given to proposals on behalf of groups and/or partnership among entities on a first come, first served basis.
- Kindly attach a detailed description of the exhibition or Knowledge Fair featured stories, including all organizing partners, elements of the exhibition, dimensions and the thematic focus. The guidelines and templates for submitting your featured stories can be accessed at <Story Template >.
- Applications for exhibition and knowledge fair spaces will be reviewed by the ARSFD-11 Secretariat and space allocated based on the scale of exhibition/knowledge fair. Approved exhibits will be notified directly at the beginning of March and must confirm acceptance of the space by 7th March 2025.
- To expedite the application process for exhibition/knowledge fair spaces, it’s strongly suggested that all application be completed in either English or French languages and following the guidelines available at at <Technical Brief >.
- All financial costs associated with the exhibition are to be borne by the organizers.
- ARFSD Secretariat in collaboration with the host country will make every effort to accommodate all eligible requests for exhibitions and knowledge fair.
- Exhibitions & Knowledge Fair can be visited by all accredited and registered participants to the ARFSD-11 and must remain in place for the duration of the Conference.
- Generally, exhibition and knowledge fair spaces will constitute a booth ([2mx3mx2m]) to accommodate both printed and digital materials. These include booth panels for printed materials (such as pictures, posters, portraits and banners) the dimensions should fit the booth (2m (left side) x 3m (backdrop) x 2m (right side); tables displays, standalone exhibits, and small display cases; and TV screens/Totems for digital content. - No security services are made available explicitly for the exhibition spaces during the exhibition exercise.
General UN Rules Governing Exhibitions
- Exhibition organizers can request services needed for their exhibition which should be specified in the online request form.
- The sale of printed materials or any goods during the exhibition is not allowed. Any material or goods distributed as part of an exhibition should be offered free of charge.
- Exhibition organizers are responsible for their exhibitions and should have a representative at the booth at all times. The ARSFD Secretariat or host country is not responsible for damage or loss of exhibition materials.
