Thursday, June 19, 2014 to Friday, June 20, 2014
Experts from Southern Africa will be holding a two-day high level meeting to review and discuss findings of a preliminary report on the puzzling combination of robust economic growth that Southern African countries have enjoyed in the last decade alongside deepening income inequality and high levels of poverty.
The meeting is co-convened by the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa’s Southern Africa office and the United Nations Development Programme - Zambia Country Office will take place Livingstone, Zambia from 19 – 20 June.
The outcomes of the meeting will inform a planned policy dialogue with Governments in the region.
