Sensitization seminar on GIS as a planning aid tool and in support of economic diversification

Sensitization seminar on GIS as a planning aid tool and in support of economic diversification
9 November, 2021 to 11 November, 2021
Douala, Cameroon

The objective of this meeting is to strengthen the capacities of policy makers in Central Africa for better long-term and participatory development planning. This is about sensitizing them to the use and consideration of georeferenced data in the design and planning of sectoral development policies.

The seminar would provide an opportunity for national planners to share knowledge of initiatives carried out in sectoral ministries, to lay the foundations for the establishment of a National Geospatial Data Infrastructure or a National Geographic Data Infrastructure, which would become “an official one-stop-shop” providing access to all geospatial data.
